Founder, Owner and Head Baker, Kristin Hutson Reed, grew up in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, where Sugar Mama Southern Sweets, LLC is located. Kristin has been delighting the local area with the best tasting and beautifully decorated traditional Southern sugar cookies since 2017.
The motivation for Sugar Mama Southern Sweets is her own three southern sweets, sons Hutson, Avery and Bryce! As a newly single parent Kristin had to find a way to make life sweeter for her family. Thus, Sugar Mama was born from the heat of life's kitchen! Kristin decided the best way to move forward was by sharing her delicious cookies and artistic talent with the community.
On January 1, 2025, Courtney Kinowski, joined Sugar Mama Southern Sweets, LLC as partner. A childhood friend of Kristin’s and also a mom of three boys, Courtney brings her business and marketing skills to Sugar Mama Southern Sweets, LLC.
